If you are reading about writing, you are not writing. If you are watching videos about writing, you are not writing. If you are learning about grammar, you are not writing. If you are talking to others about writing, you are not writing. While all of these things are important in the journey, they are not writing. Writing is writing. Even bad writing is better than no writing because how else will writers learn?
